Lacroix Desphères Album Review - Dernier Paradis act 2

Lacroix Despheres is a symphonic Rock Opera band that was founded in 2006. They brilliantly mix Rock/Metal with the Classic/Opera style.

Due to having instruments like the oboe and the flute(which you don’t often find in Visual Kei bands) they give off a special feeling between serenity and energy.

The band consists of 6 bandmembers, which are listed here:

Vocal, Composer, Arranger, Lyrics : 翔 [ Sho ]

Soprano : 紗夜 [ Saya ]

Guitar: Pegeot

Oboe: 智美 [ Satomi ]

Guitar: 天佑 [ Tenyu ]

Flute: 水貴 [ Mizuki ]

The album Dernier Paradis act2 (in english: last paradise act 2) starts with the song Vox arcana which starts with church bells and choir singing of both male and female voices. You can feel the base of their music and it prepares you for what is to come more in the album.

Both Sho and Saya have beautiful singing voices, clear and sharp. In personal opinion I find that Saya sounds like a perfect singing bird which you could listen to for hours and hours without a stop.

Sho his voice is one you can immediately imagine to hear when you think of opera music.

But don’t let these two singing birds take you off guard! Pegeot and Tenyu will blow you away with their amazing guitar-playing and solos!

Let’s also not forget Mizuki and Satomi, their flute and oboe give the songs the amazing feeling which is hard to describe, the songs are serene and energetic at the same time.

The album itself really flows easily between songs, there is no certain stop after each song, they designed it to just be one beautyful flow of music, like it’s all just one long song.

All in short: it’s an album worth checking out, it’s a great album from a great band!
